Porters Civic House and Mayor Parlour is a beautiful grade I listed building in Southend-on- Sea, perfect for a civil ceremony, with a beautiful back garden to have some drinks to celebrate after the ceremony and take some photos.
After leaving Porters, and being in Southend-on- sea, we went to take some photos with the sea in the background, of course! I do love the sea and photographing couples around it every time I get a chance, so romantic!
Clare and Tony’s was a very intimate wedding with not too many guests, so they celebrated the reception in their own house (after a few drinks and photos in Porters). I do love these kind of weddings, and I find myself photographing more and more weddings like this, with a small number of guests and receptions celebrated in private houses. I definitely think that these weddings’ atmosphere is more relaxed and if I were a bride, I would definitely go for this option. I’ll need to get myself a big house with a big garden first! 🙂
